THE SUBSTANCE-FORM CONCOMITANCE IN THE POETIC CREATION OF NICOLAE DABIJA

Summary/Abstract: This article represents the introductory part of a larger study, aiming at placing the poetic creation of Nicolae Dabija in the ensemble of contemporary Romanian literature. For the time being, in a prolegomenal way, we intend to invoke some arguments in support of the working hypothesis according to which, in the case of Dabija’s lyricism, there is a full, undeniable consonance, between substance and form, between ideational content and artistic expression, a harmonious signified-signifying relationship, specific only to aesthetically valid writings. I preferred, for the title, the formula “substance-form concomitance”, once used by the eminent esthetician, Tudor Vianu, in his study The study of style, because to speak of the indelible relationship existing, in the case of Dabija’s lyricism, between form and content means, among others, to undertake a rigorous investigation in order to research his style and to prove, axiologically, his pre-eminence...
