Summary/Abstract: It is known today that Italy was and has been a work destination for Romanians since the 1989 Revolution for a better life. Yet, our country, Romania, has been for the Italians the hope for the better for more than a century. The inhabitants of the Italian Peninsula have always been emigrants, their way of life being characterized by mobility, the main reason being that of surviving. The Italian society has always had as the essential economical feature the emigration as the possibility of prospering, being edifying in this way the examples of soldiers, of glass makers, of musicians or of actors etc. Analyzing the actual papers, the researchers have noticed the changing that took place in the nineteenth century when the Italian emigration was extending; three types of emigration have been identified: the political one, the seasonal emigration and that towards the American continent. Thus, the Italian people have been emigrating a lot in America, then towards the European continent since the 1800.
