Summary/Abstract: At present, in the era of the information society, one of the key tasks for the preservation of statehood is to ensure the security of the individual and society in the context of a cognitive war. The concept of security is multifaceted, so it is necessary to clearly define its methodological boundaries, including in them the informational aspect associated with cognitive warfare. Today, when communication technologies are actively developing, the issue of information security and protection against the manipulation of opinions is becoming a particularly relevant and significant social challenge.
