STANDARD FOR THE PROFESSION OF A MIDWIFE IN NEONATAL EMERGENCY – ASSESSMENT OF THE CURRENT LEGAL STATUS

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper was to analyse and evaluate the standard of practicing the profession of a midwife in terms of emergency in neonatal care. Due to the formal and legal nature of the work, the dogmatic method was the basic research method. The article contains considerations on the standard of performing the profession of midwife in neonatal emergency in relation to legal acts and guidelines for the conduct of a midwife in neonatal care. Concluding, the importance of the standard in midwife’s work was emphasized, referring to the health and life of a patient, which are one of the fundamental human values.
