Summary/Abstract: This case study aims a punctual observation of the electoral moment May-June 2004. Local elections have left place for studying the communication techniques of the candidates, and even more important, for anticipating the new currents implemented by specialists and a possible unveiling of the campaign strategies adopted for autumn’s presidential elections. The study is focused on the communication strategy of one of the teams participating in the elections for mayoralty of Cluj-Napoca: Social Democrat Party and its candidate, Ioan Rus.
