Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to reveal a new segment of the complex relationship between the Orthodox communities from Făgăraş district and the Calvinist church from Făgăraş through Anna Bornemissza’s disposal from 1675. The first part of the instruction dealt with the canonical visitation of the Orthodox communities, and the second part contains stipulations regarding the priests and their congregations. On this basis the development of the Orthodox/Calvinist interconfessional relations need to be revised in some respects. Particularly the second part’s stipulations suggests that Anna Bornemissza and her entourage aimed to improve the ecclesiastical life of Romanians within the frame of Orthodoxy, and not necessarily tended to a forced conversion to Calvinism.
