Summary/Abstract: History has left many traces, written historical sources, monuments of tangible culture, archeological monuments but also various traditional customs, folk tales and songs, books and other documents. Gathering of historical data is considered to be a demanding task which lasts a longer period of time and in this supplement collections of historical sources and the archives in which they can be found are identified. Historical sources on the medieval history of Bosnia and Herzegovina are located in numerous archival institutions (Dubrovnik, Zadar, Kotor, Venice, Vatican, Budapest), are rarely publicized, and they are hard to acquire. In the last two centuries individual historians are each researching one specific century, or one particular age, such as the early middle ages, the time of the advanced middle ages and late middle ages. Studying the medieval period of Bosnia and Herzegovina, collection of historical sources from relevant archives was being done. Documenting the collections of historical sources aids and enables historians to organize and narrow their field of research on a specific time frame in history.
