Summary/Abstract: In this study, we examined the Commentary on the Theology of Aristotle, entitled Tafsīr Kitāb Uṯūlūǧiyā, from the Fair Judgment by Avicenna in the framework of the intellectual experience, which constitutes the essence of the soul- intellect relationship in the philosophy of Avicenna. In this context, we basically divided our research into two parts. In the first part, we discussed the idea of competence (Kamāl), which expresses the conceptual dimension of the intellectual experience in Avicenna on the axis of the Commentary. In the second part, we studied the experience of observation, which corresponds to the visual dimension of this experience. This study, in which we made an intertextual reading, has two main purposes. The first is to trace whether Avicenna’s Commentary reflects the philosophical principles which he adopted in his other works, by comparing the Commentary with the Avicenna corpus, especially the main works such as The Cure and the Pointers and Reminders. The second is to seek an answer to the question of what the Commentary contributed to us in terms of Avicenna’s philosophical system. For this, as well as the textual comparison method, we applied the methods of critical reading and systematic analysis. As a result, we determined that Avicenna’s Commentary was in harmony with the philosophical foundations of his system and although it has been largely overlooked in the modern literature, it occupies a prominent position in the philosopher’s huge corpus.
