Summary/Abstract: In the hijri VI. century books were written in different disciplines of Islamic sciences. The number of poems written in this field has gradually increased. Likewise, the tradition of producing poetic texts is seen as a rich literature to facilitate teaching activities in the field of rasm al-mushaf. As a matter of fact, many works in the history of Islamic education have been memorized with the assumption that memorization is a part of education. One of the important ones in this poetry literature is Ebu Muhammed Kasım b. Firruh al-Shatıbi’s (ö. 590/1194) ‘Akeelah al-atrab al-kasaid fi esne’l-mekasıd. Hz. Osman period istinsah activities are very important in terms of rasm al-mushaf. Many works, especially ‘Akeelah al-atrab al-kasaid, reveal this situation. ‘Akeelah al-atrab al-kasaid is one of the works carried out to convey the words of Qur’an to the present day in terms of both its vocalization and writing. The formation of an important tradition of commentary on this work shows that this work deserves to be examined. In this study, ‘Akeelah al-atrab al-kasaid, which is written on the vocalization and writing of the text of Qur’an and memorized around a part of the teaching processes carried out for the science of rasm al-mushaf, will be examined. In this context, al-Mukni‘ fi resmi mesahif al-emsar, which was written by Ebu Amr Dani because it is the main basis of the work, will also be emphasized. In addition, the annotations of ‘Akeelah al-atrab al-kasaid, which are obligatory to be consulted, will be briefly introduced.
