Summary/Abstract: The main purpose of this research is to determine the learning needs of Kazakh people learning Turkish in Kazakhstan. The value of language learning has become invaluable day by day. The importance of language is emphasized both in social life and in business life. Today, the increasing importance of the Turkish language has led to the beginning of educational needs. For this reason, we see that Turkish language is also shown as an elective course in institutions and even in schools. However, Turkish courses and departments have started to be opened at universities. Kazakhstan gained its independence in 1991 and has put forward many innovations and projects for the education and training of its people with the policies it has made since. The Turkish language learners living in Kazakhstan were asked the question ‘For what reason do you want to learn Turkish’ in this study and the answers were analyzed.
