Summary/Abstract: The archaeological site of Tell el-Farkha is located in the Nile Delta not far from the modern city of Zagazig. The site is situated on the top of gezira and has three small elevations (Pawlikowski 2004; Pawlikowski and Wasilewski 2007). The site has been intensively explored by the Polish Archaeological Expedition to the Eastern Nile Delta since 1998 (Chłodnicki 2003; Chłodnicki and Ciałowicz 2003; Ciałowicz and Jucha 2003; Jucha 2005). Morphologically the site is composed of a settlement and a cemetery. In the tombs of this cemetery, many interesting objects have been discovered such as stone and pottery vessels, jeweler’s stones and beads, color pigments, copper harpoons etc. (Pawlikowski 2009).
