Violence in schools: A study on the phenomenon at highschool students

Summary/Abstract: In this study we present the results of a survey conducted in Romania, on a sample of 1.100 students from 35 highschools in the North‑East of the country. We explored through a questionnaire the frequency of different forms of bullying (physical, verbal, and non‑verbal), and the impact of socio‑demographic variables on them, such as gender, age, and type of school. The results of this study generally confirm the data obtained in other countries.
