Reorganization of the Ottoman Province Administration (1842-1876)

Summary/Abstract: Tanzimat era is turning point for the social, economic, adminstrative, culturel and political history of us. The most important charecteristic of this era is the revisions in the central and province administrations. No doubt that, the effects of these changes in the formation of modern Turkish administrative system is great. This article focus on the reorganization of Ottoman province administration. In this context, I mention, mainly 1842,1849, 1864 and 1871 regulations.
