Summary/Abstract: Canada, like all the countries around the globe, has been deeply impacted by the world crisis that some of the experts call recession and others depression. The high rate of unemployment and the population migration are two of the problems that were placed on the government’s priority list since the world crisis began. Although for seven consecutive years Canada was ranked number one by the United Nations’ human development index as the best country in the world to live – their surveys are based on quality of life, educational opportunities, unemployment, crime rates, and life expectancy – today it allies with all the countries in the world in the fight against the recession. Canada officially declared that it entered the recession about a year and a half ago. At that time the unemployment rate was around 4%. This rate was predominantly found in the provinces with a smaller number of population and less industry.
