Summary/Abstract: The Romanian translation of the inventory drawn up on the occasion of the conversion to Islam of Iliaş Rareş, former Voivode of Moldavia (1546-1551), is published. The document includes the list of gifts presented to Mehmed Beğ (name adopted by Iliaş upon conversion) by members of the Ottoman elite during the grand ceremony held on the Bosporus shores, at the Imperial Palace, on 30 May 1551. The gifts are mostly luxurious types of silk fabrics for clothes. This documents provides some insights on the struggle for power at the Ottoman court as well as few information about the supporters and friends of the new beg of Silistra.
