BEST PRACTICES ON IMPROVING THE SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Summary/Abstract: In this paper we propose to identify the best practices in planning, organizing, managing and controlling of logistic activities, major premise for designing and implementing efficient and effective logistic strategy. To this end we conducted a logistics audit at Roumanian firms, taking into consideration underlying logistic activities, and also the management of logistics system. The methodological instruments used in the experimental research were the questionnaire and the interview. Based on the results we made some proposals to improve the supply chain management system.
