Summary/Abstract: The effect of the crisis was perceptible in several ways. Companies became bankrupt, families outran the constable. Numerous problems arose also in the financial sector. These problems had an effect on the operation of the economy. All of these factors generated the changing of the regulation of the banking sector. The purpose of my paper is to reflect that the credit institutions took excessive risk and these institutions did not get ready to the crisis and it’s accompany. The existing regulation was not effective, stricter regulation was needed.
