Summary/Abstract: This article looks at the issue of teaching special educational needs students in the context of the newest developments in the Bulgarian educational system policy for re-thinking the school as a humanistic organization. The terms “integrated teaching” and “inclusive education” are compared. Key characteristics of the school environment that are important for the successful integration of the students are explained. A good practice for inclusive education for special educational needs students is described as developed at Secondary Comprehensive School “St. Paisii Hilendarski” - Zlatitsa as a result of the “I can too” project funded by the European Social Fund.
