Summary/Abstract: ” Men’s Winter”, one of the most brilliant examples of the sixties’ works that attract Romanian critics from the highest of literary circles to the originality of his prose, allows multiple interpretations and oscillates between realism and fantastic. A large part of the approach is focused on the literary analysis of his texts, relying on the following elements: myths, symbols, characters, space, motives. This paper attempts to outline the interaction between fantastic, myths, symbols and to emphasize that Bănulescu’ s fictional space contributes to shape the fantastic dimension.
