Summary/Abstract: During the process of translating a Korean text, one can face issues, not only from a linguistic, but also from a cultural point of view, some of them being syntactic differences, disposal of vocabulary to nuance meaning, writing systems and how they influence the use of language, social class and gender differentiated speeches, humorous structures, dialects and so on. We are trying to explore the possibility of translating Korean texts into English, whilst keeping in mind all of these issues related to linguistic relativity.
