INTERNATIONAL COMMERCIAL TERMS: INCOTERMS 2020

Summary/Abstract: International commercial terms - INCOTERMS, are standardized trade terms which define the responsibilities of the buyer and seller when delivering goods on the basis of sales agreement, ie, determine how costs and risks are distributed among the contracting parties, and as such are regularly included in sales contracts worldwide. INOCTERMS are one of the most important international instruments in this context, as the issues of risk and cost transfer are regulated completely independently with regards to complex legal issues such as delivery of goods or ownership. They are issued by the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris and are subject to regular updating and harmonization with regards to the current needs of the economy, which reflects their practical importance, hence, the latest edition is INOCTERMS 2020.
