Zabilješka o poeziji Jusufa Trbića
A note on the poetry of Jusuf Trbić

Summary/Abstract: In this short paper, the author provides several key biographical notes and gives us a shorter review of the literary work of the author and publicist Jusuf Trbić from Bijelnja, with a special reference to his poetry. In an attempt to answer the question of how to read the poetry of Jusuf Trbić, characterized by condensed dark tones, the conclusion we arrive at is that this poetry can be understood only through the application of the so-called biographical method. Furthermore, having in mind that the tragedy of the war and suffering of Muslim Bosniaks of Bijeljina (1992 – 1995), left a lasting mark on the life and creativity of this intellectual and poet, who only avoided death at the hands of Arkan’s villains by a stroke of luck and fate.
