Summary/Abstract: In the following study we will attempt to elucidate the hidden messages of the state hymns from countries of the EU, most of them being works and symbols used in public (for example on the occasion of sportive events), or in students classrooms, in certain countries (for example Austria, France and România, the interpretation of the complete official national anthems is mandatory in the first cycles of study).Taking into consideration the fact that the majority of anthems have their texts and music written in old historical contexts (especially the period before, during and immediately after the two world wars), thus being marked by a symbolism much more related to war rather than peace, the messages hidden inside the hymns remind these contexts to those who listen to or use them directly or through the media, that is why we militate (another new militaristic term) for a more profound knowledge of the power of these messages, especially in the works of education in schools.
