Summary/Abstract: The author raises the contemporaneous issue regarding the relationship between the sociologist and the politician, which transforms the social science specialist into a political communication specialist. During the interwar period, Dimitrie Gusti and the sociologists from the Bucharest School of Sociology used social research results for developing market research strategies. The communication techniques conveyed by the Gusti School sociologists via the state financed press were promoting monarchy. The strategic concept built through the magazines financed by King Carol II was „The king of youth and of peasants”. Through this positioning the king aimed to eliminate political competition (The Legionary Movement).
