Summary/Abstract: We, Bulgarians, have a national holiday calendar of our own = Our holidays, being taken in their cultural semeiosis, are organically related not only with sacral time, but also with the sacral space of the ethnos, nationality, and the people. They determine he extreme existential grounds of the people’s being. The holidays are a performance filled with piety and respect to god, with admiration to everything which is of Bulgarian, native and national origin and is an Christian faith. Our national holiday system plays a fateful role in the preservation of the Bulgarian national spirit.
