Summary/Abstract: The main topic of this article are some of the tendencies in the use of prepositions in spoken Bulgarian. The data collected from the Southern Black Sea coast region shows the following tendencies: inclusion of prepositions in non-prepositional phrases, dropping of prepositions from prepositional phrases, and mixing of preposition. The linguistic phenomena in question are analyzed and explained as cases of ellipticity, paronymy, interference and dialectal influences. Types of prepositions and relations marked by them, in which the analyzed phenomena are registered are also discussed.
