Summary/Abstract: The article is dedicated to the history of the Przecław branch of the Koniecpolski family, Pobóg coat of arms in the 16th and 17th centuries. Its progenitor was the Rozprza castellan, Mikołaj Przedbór (d. 1586). One of his sons was Andrzej, the castellan of Połaniec. Thanks to his marriage to Anna, the daughter of Stefan Ligęza, he came into the possession of the town Przecław. His son was Colonel Ste fan Koniecpolski (d. 1629), another heir in Przecław. The article presents the latter’s activities on the political scene and his achievements in military service, as well as his unsuccessful attempts to marry Teofila Tarłówna. Some information about his marriage to Marcjanna Daniłowiczówna is corrected in this article, while it also presents the closest relatives of both spouses. The ownership status of Stefan and Marcjanna Koniecpolski is also discussed here. Much attention in this article is also paid to the three sons of Stefan and Marcjanna, namely Andrzej, Aleksander and Stanisław, who in 1647 divided among themselves the large, but heavily in debted estates of their parents. Two older brothers died at young age without issue. The youngest son Stanisław, who concentrated the rights to the entire family estate in his hands, turned out to be an irresponsible and reckless man. He lost most of his possessions, including his family’s property Przecław, and was sentenced to infamy for bigamy. It was only in 1670 that he managed to end the court dispute with the family of one of his former wives and regain his good name. Stanisław Koniecpolski died after 1670. His only son (from third marriage), played no significant role in the history of Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. Even the dates of his birth and death remain unknown. He died childless as the last male representative of the Przecław branch of the Koniecpolski family.
