Summary/Abstract: Among those in the know today there is no doubt at all that Slamnig’s poetry is one of the key sites in the last half a century of Croatian poetry, one of the hubs around which a galaxy of the revivalist, cosmopolitan and modernist orientations of contemporary Croatian writers revolve. His inexhaustible inventiveness, his diverse investigations, experiments and excursions in poetry have had the role of nursery that can no longer be ignored. We shall not say that he has had imitators, because his personal idiom and the discipline of his imagination are inimitable.
