Summary/Abstract: This contribution highlights the connection between the creation of the Belgian painter R. Magritte and the logos of important companies. A surrealist painter, Magritte experimented with many styles and revealed connections with various philosophical currents. He used to say that he was a thinker who expressed himself through images. He was interested in formal innovation and this paper examines a few important paintings of his career. The emphasis is on visual symbols and chromatics.
