Summary/Abstract: There are several varieties of anglicisms used in the Romanian mediatic language and some of them are quite necessary, at the same time another category of them are totally useless, because there already exist Romanian words with clearly used and defined semantics. Therefore, speakers and journalists should abide by the linguistic rules. The Romanian mediatic language uses a new category of anglicisms which appeared during pandemic.
