Summary/Abstract: "Predicate and theories about language - evolutionary approach" is the result of a sustained research of a problem widely debated in both general and Romanian linguistics. The investigation is based on an extensive bibliography and is a welcome exposition of the points of view in Romanian grammars and studies, old and modern, dedicated to the relationship between predicate and predication in Romanian. The synthesis is, therefore, an important exposition, theoretical and applied, of the multiple correlations in the deep structure of the grammar of the Romanian language. This foray highlights the present qualities of the author and makes a relevant contribution to the knowledge of the field addressed.
