Art and public space: mural and decorative art projects by Plovdiv artists from the collections of Plovdiv National Library

Summary/Abstract: This paper presents a project initiated by “Ivan Vazov” National Library, which aims to raise awareness of Plovdiv’s socialist-era mural art works and to rethink the essence of their presence in the city. The proposal of the “Ivan Vazov” National Library – Plovdiv for a project entitled “Art and public space: mural and decorative art projects by Plovdiv artists from the collections of Plovdiv National Library”, was chosen for funding by the Plovdiv 2019 Foundation.
