Summary/Abstract: The historiographical prospect of the creation of the novel by Ivan Vazov Under the Yoke. Panoramic overview of the first editions of this masterpiece of the Bulgarian refine speech. An emphasis on the appearance of the first part of the work in Collection of Folklore and Science and Literature (known also as Ministerial Collection) of Prof. Ivan D. Shishmanov (1889). Focusing on the first complete edition of the novel in Bulgaria – by the publisher Todor F. Chipev (1894), after that he published the work three times (1896, 1910, 1920). A bibliographic sketches of the deed of the invited by T. F. Chipev local and foreign painters who illustrated the novel by Ivan Vazov – Antoni Adam Piotrowski, Joseph Sebastian Oberbauer, Anton Mitov and Ivan (Jan) Mrkvička. Assessment of the facsimile and digital edition of the novel according to its publication in 1894, realized by Bulgarian National Library “St. St. Cyril and Methodius” (2020).
