Summary/Abstract: The Union of Polish Youth Associations was one of the most resilient Catholic organizations that brought together in its ranks the young generation of the interwar period. It was also active in the Sandomierz diocese, where during its heyday it had nearly 15,000 members in more than 500 parish branches. Young people involved in the union were actively involved in the religious life of their parish communities, as well as carrying out lively cultural and educational activities. In addition, members of the organization could take part in various types of socio-professional training, which were to prepare them for the proper entry into adult life. The acquired knowledge and skills could be effectively used in their professional work. This article presents the socio-professional training that was organized for young people in the Sandomierz diocese. The source basis for the study of this topic was primarily the magazine of the presented organization, i.e., “Circular of the Union of Associations of Polish Youth of the Sandomierz-Radom Area,” as well as information contained in the Archives of the Diocese of Sandomierz. The article expands the state of knowledge about the activities of Catholic youth of the interwar period from the diocese of Sandomierz.
