Summary/Abstract: In 1994 when I joined the Department of Mongolian Studies at the University of Warsaw, Professor Stanisław Godziński was taking responsibility for the Polish Ambassador in Ulaanbaatar. After completing his governmental duty in Mongolia he re-joined the department. Since then I have been fortunate to work with him until his retirement. I regard Professor as a very generous person, caring and keeping a harmonious atmosphere around him.
