Summary/Abstract: Contemporary organizational circumstances, referred to as the “VUCA world”, are characterized by unprecedented volatility, uncertainty, comlexity and ambiguity. One of the answers to the challenges of the “VUCA world” is the phenomenon of projectification, i.e. the increase in the participation and importance of an projects in organizations’ activity. Along with the development of the projects in organizations’ activity, there has been a significant de- velopment of various instruments supporting managing of that area: projects, programs and portfo- lios. Although the variety of these instruments led to an increase in the effectiveness and efficiency of projects, it resulted in the weakening of the organizational cohesion of this type of activity and the difficulties in translating its effects into the success of the organization. In order to counteract this, it becomes necessary to organize it in the form of a complete and coherent system, referred to as pro- ject governance. The article presents the basics, interpretations and concepts of the project governance. Based on their analysis, an original, proprietary model of the project governance was developed. This model consists of four domains: strategic (strategic governance), methodical (methodical governance), organizational (organizational governance) and personal (personal governance). The problems and solutions of indi- vidual domains are discussed in the article. Finally, the procedure for implementing the project gov- ernance in the organization was described.
