Summary/Abstract: The main topic of the article is a reflection on Autobiography in the Strict and Even Conventional Sense – one of the last books by Jerzy Pilch. The author wonders what role autobiographical threads played in Pilch’s late works – his attachment to his hometown (Wisla) and to his relatives, whose portraits he drew. The conclusion of the conducted considerations is the conclusion about the mythographic and selftherapeutic nature of the discussed work.
