Summary/Abstract: The text is an attempt to read Igor Jarek’s stories collected from the volume „Halny” from the perspective of his autobiographical place. I refer to geopoetics, to Małgorzata Czermińska’s concept. Nowa Huta becomes a key place in the author’s literary biography. The analyzed stories stem from cultural notions, but also from stories about exclusion.
