Summary/Abstract: The following articles provide an insight into various issues of party work and politics of the Hungarian Socialist Workers' Party (KP), including the leadership of the youth league. (Cf. G. Handlery's essay on the Hungarian youth, in: Osteuropa, 2/1980, pp. 119ff.) The author of the first document, Secretary of the Budapest Party Committee, laid down the principles for the admission of new members into the party exposes manifestations of "formalism" and advocates paying more attention to getting more workers and more youth to join the party in the future. In addition, higher demands are to be placed on party members in the future. // The second post is about a disciplinary case; the lesson that the author, party secretary of Dunakeszi north of Budapest, draws from this is to pay more attention to the education and development of a political awareness of new members admitted to the party and of party candidates in the future. // The third article deals with the principles of the party's youth policy, emphasizing its leading role. Finally, in the fourth contribution, the author, a secretary of the pioneer association, deals with questions of the association's leadership theory, whereby he assigns a high degree of leadership competence to the young functionaries - in contrast to older youth leaders. Of course, he also emphasizes the important role of the party in leading the association.
