Summary/Abstract: The concept of project management has been developed in the private sector, and only in the last decades this practice has been transferred to the public sector. The concept of „public project” is very ambiguous, but in general it refers to projects that are financed from public money and are traditionally in the property or implemented by public institutions. Determining the success factors and barriers in implementing public projects represents a complicated process but one that is absolutely necessary in order to increase the efficiency of public projects.
