Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to explain the concept of art therapy and to present, discuss and analyze the application of the above mentioned method of therapy in the process of rehabilitation of convicts, using the method of literature analysis. Art therapy aims to use art as a therapeutic activity for an individual or a group. Various forms of art can be helpful and useful for the process of rehabilitation. In conditions of penitentiary isolation, art therapy is a contemporary, modern form of therapy. Analyzing the existing studies on the discussed subject will enable to present the usefulness of art among the incarcerated community and will show its influence on the process of re-socialization.
