Summary/Abstract: The Church’s Mission Agency was one of the first news agencies in the world when it was founded in 1927. Its task was to bring information about the missionary world, through a treasury of information for magazines, and thus to raise the missionary awareness of the People of God. In addition to information, studies and analyses of the missions were also taken care of, the missions themselves were also taken care of by awakening vocations and collecting material resources. The interwar activity resulted in the publication of 2,000 bulletins, 5 language editions and the publication of a guide to Catholic missions. Since the 1970s, the Photographic Archive has been suspended, the photos have been digitized, the Chinese language edition and the www.fides. org website have been established. Currently, the activities of the Fides Mission Agency focus on information through the website in 7 language editions. The current agenda focuses on Ad Gentes missions, interreligious dialogue, multifaceted human development, developing missionary cooperation between churches and promoting the missionary activity of the Holy Father. The current state and condition of the Fides missionary agency can be described as a static adaptation, limited to what is necessary. It is active in social media: FB, TT, YT. You can find indepth analyses on missions, information on missionary deaths, and Church statistics. Compared to other news agencies there is a lack of a concept for actively running a press agency in a modern style.
