Summary/Abstract: The article analyses social inequalities, treated here as a common and universal phenomenon. While emphasising the lack of consent to their existence, the author also points to such features of social inequalities as its relationship with political power, rationalised ahumanitarianism and polymorphism. These features illustrate that democracy, lawfulness, and the understanding of justice are helpless in the face of the phenomenon of ‘social inequalities’. The author argues that the actions taken in various countries have not eliminated these inequalities, and that education and wealth have become their new creator. He draws attention to such problems as discrimination against women or drastic poverty affecting a large part of the world’s population, including children. The article also presents the forms of disabling children and indicates which rules and regulations can be treated as valuable. In the last part of the text, the political and social situation in Poland is outlined, pointing to the threats arising from the thoughtless destruction of the local and national community and the deepening of social inequalities.
