Visual representations of religion and new spirituality in public space – an example of Olsztyn and the surrounding area

Summary/Abstract: Contemporary culture is a culture dominated by the ubiquity of images and the visual representations and manifestations concern religion and spirituality as well. The aim of the article is to present local representations of: institutional religion, privatized religion, new spirituality and cultural religion. The main research method is the analysis of photographs taken in and around Olsztyn in the spring of 2018. The research made it possible to draw conclusions about, among other things, conventionalized images of religion.
