Summary/Abstract: The idea of the sacred in the lyrical work of Dariusz Dekański is a conglomerate of many components. This includes consistent reality as well as sensible reality – imagined, perceived many times using synesthesia. In the presented article, which serves as an suggest for further research on the poetic activity of the author Saudade, special attention was paid to man’s relationship with God, contact with the sacred, manifested through the internal experiences of the lyrical subject, constantly seeking his place in the world. To get closer to understanding the actions of the hero of this poetry, first of all, the instruments offered by the sacred research methodologies (ecumenical criticism and theological criticism) were used.
