Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to summarize the current knowledge on the spectrum of human cognitive, affective and behaviorally expressed responses in the face of the climate crisis. The diversity of attitudes towards climate change and the degree of commitment to actions to counteract them results from the level of knowledge and beliefs about the current situation, including the degree of belief in climate myths. The consequence of awareness of the dangers posed by the progressing ecological and climate crisis is the intensification of difficult emotions and complex emotional states, such as solastalgia, climate depression or eco-mourning. With reference to this knowledge, it was indicated how to prevent experiencing a climate crisis in terms of a personal crisis and how to mobilize to act in response to the challenges of the climate situation
