Summary/Abstract: The article is an attempt to present the young adults’ position on Polish sex education, which – despite the European recommendations – still remains at an unsatisfactory level. The data were collected to illustrate the attitude of young adults to the sex education that was once offered to them, as well as the experiences related to it. The results of the study conducted by the author of the article suggest that the sources of sexual education postulated by the respondents do not coincide with those from which they had actually drawn their knowledge. Therefore, it was decided to investigate the sex education, conducted (or not) in both Polish schools and homes. The following results may constitute valuable knowledge for people or organizations dealing with this issue. The topics discussed in the article may set the directions for further research that will allow us to better understand the essence of problems related to sexual education and to implement appropriate actions to improve it in Poland.
