Summary/Abstract: Media ownership in Ukraine has been of interest to many researchers for years, so it could not be absent at this particular time. In the widespread chaos of the war that prevailed in Ukraine after 24 February 2022, Ukrainian and foreign experts have re- peatedly drawn attention to the role of the media. Since the beginning of the war, the Ukrainian media have started to work together according to a single agenda, centred around the latest news from the front. The media are mostly owned by the oligarchs. The oligarchs are also part of Ukraine’s complex media system. Just before the war broke out, the oligarchs left which caused a general outcry. Upon their return, business people spoke quite impartially about the war. The aim of the presented article is to present the impact of the war on Ukrainian private media and media business.
