Summary/Abstract: The concept of a double biography sounds to me like unimaginable wealth. Most people - those who have not experienced migration from one cultural area to another - apparently only have a biography, while I, the migrant from Poland, who moved with my parents and brother from Polish socialism to what was then the Federal Republic of Germany in 1989 emigrated, more precisely to Bamberg in Franconia, I can call two of my own. I have two whole lives, it seems - I am doubled, I exist twice. God gave me two lives, I was lucky.
