“Parthenius Pavlovic” Regional Library – Silistra: remote working in the conditions of state of emergency

Summary/Abstract: In the conditions of remote service, the online services on the library’s website were available to the users. A part of our services during the social isolation were the virtual reference service and the responding of e-mail inquiries from readers. We have published online a variety of educational, informational and entertainment materials, links and web addresses. The topical information of public interest was related to various areas: health recommendations, changes in the tax liabilities deadlines, the mode of service in public institutions and markets, etc. The virtual Library Portal for health services in Silistra was frequently visited. The bibliotherapy was one of the forms of working with readers – we shared materials that we assumed would help to overcome stress and anxiety. The team work proved its efficiency also in the repairs that were performed - many of them with our own efforts.
